I don’t know man—I’m pretty optimistic about this year. Keep in mind—last year would’ve been a lot better if stafford were not out. We added quite a bit—and also this is quinn and patricias prove it season. To be fair to them—their tools have just now had enough time to grow into their system. If it’s gonna work—it will be this season. I think we win 10-12

Stafford has looked MVP the past two seasons with 0 help from the run game. Now Lions have two young running backs and an assortment of 3rd string guys to lean into. I think to hit 10-12 Lions will need to have found a gem in Cephus and Hock will need to perform at a high level. I think that can happen though. Golladay and stafford were magical last year.

Ok now I’m seeing the spirit of your comment. Yeah the refs. Last few years have been pretty miserable from that perspective. I’m with ya....however I do think refs make mistakes every week and probably on almost every play. I think the problem with the lions is every single game the scoring would be close. If you lose—those shitty calls by the refs get the big ol’ yellow highlighter.

Its just so inconsistent, and seems to always work out for the other team. The lions typically might get one or two questionable calls in their favor each year while there is a bevy of calls that favor the other team seemingly weekly. I dont think the nfl and the refs target the lions, they just dont care enough to do anything about it or consider evening the calls out. Idk. Its just hard to be optimistic given the track record of the officiating the last few years.

It may be intentional. It gets a lot of attention. I guess it adds to the drama? And if a small market team like the Lions are at the shit end of it--it gives everyone something to talk about...Sells some advertisements.
