Points allowed since the Panthers game

vs. Bucs: 14
vs. Jets: 17
vs. Falcons: 7
vs. Chargers: 13
vs. Broncos: 16
vs. Raiders: 8

We all knew that with so many new faces on defense, it would take time to gel. I didn't think it'd be that ugly though..
First 4 games(maybe not Saints) we just kept giving up BOMB after BOMB after BIG RUN lol
With those gone...man the difference
Things sure are starting to look really good B)

Lets not get too excited. Atlanta played the worst game of the year, Tampa/Jets/Broncos all just have fucking terrible offenses, and Chargers are hit or miss. The Raiders shitting the bed this hard surprised me, but I think a lot of that was exactly what Bard said, too many fucking drops, and then Carr lost all confidence in his receivers. It was just an example of shit spiraling out of control. We've looked much more competent defensively, our secondary hasn't been getting beat the fuck up by bums, and while a couple pretty blatant PIs did go uncalled, I thought we played a pretty tight game in the second half, and for some of the first. We'll see how we do against Pitt, that's our only real test left, and we historically do great against them. I wish we could to play another top offense to see how much we've really improved, because it's hard knowing if the defense has actually gotten that much better, of if we've just played shit offense after shit offense.

Well saints are one of the best offenses in the league and we handily beat them, but they were definitely off that game; they definitely weren't firing on all cylinders offensively

They had a tough schedule, but they looked absolutely fucking miserable the first two games, and they looked like pure dog shit against us. I thought they were going to be a 7-9 or 8-8 team after we played them. They also hadn't figured out their running game, or the value in Kamara, pretty sure that came in week 3 if I'm not mistaken.

I'm excited anytime I see us not give up big plays is all. That shit early on was not bend or brake. Just broken.
True that those are not offensive juggernauts, but even when we played Carolina/Houston(early I know) we got SHIT on. I don't see them anymore of a threat than Falcons/Chargers tbh
Even the Buccs are ranked high offensively(yards)
@Pitt will be a true trust. Hopefully both teams win out until the showdown.
How much do you really fear the Steelers IF they met @ Gillette though?

Houston was a threat with Watson, they're not much without him. I thought that game was a fluke against one of the worst defenses in the league, but Watson was just a fucking monster. It's devastating his season ended the way it did, it was fucking insanely exciting watching him. Besides one ugly loss to the Bears, Carolina has been a solid team. We still should have beat them, the zebras fucking LOVE Cam. I know it's ironic coming from a NE fan (for anyone who wants to post a smart ass comment), but EVERY time Cam comes to NE, he gets bailed out by the fucking refs. Holding just doesn't exist when Cam is legging it out.

Trust me, I'm pumped man. I'm just not thinking that our defense is "fixed" or that we're going to be defensive contenders against REAL offenses, but I like the direction we're moving in, and ofc BB is going to fix some of the holes, that's what he does. I just hope we don't get completely fucking exposed come playoffs or worse, in the SB against a fucking savage NFC team. I'm honestly terrified of Philly right now lol. I'm hoping someone knocks them the fuck out in the first round or some shit, because they look pretty unbeatable right now.

wtf, why! haha, I hope the steelers lose a few games before I don't want that (Pitts vs NE) game to be a meaningful one lol.

I think GB/Ravens are our only hope. I don't see any of the other teams challenging them. Hopefully we slap them, like we always do, but it's w/e. With how awesome NE has been on the road this year, I'm not too worried about having the #1 seed. Of course I want it, but I don't think it's necessary for us to make a run.

Hypothetical: Would you rather play Minnesota or Philly in the superbowl? tough choice because Minnesota has homefield, also I think Zimmer is miles ahead as a HC than Pederson.
