2nd one is really good like I said I like Minshew he has a great feel for the game. But try and keep some perspective. He has beaten up on some dumpster teams (bengals and jets last 2 weeks rofl). The defense has been much better and the running game has been carrying the load. Foles outdueled Tom Brady in the Superb Owl
Foles is a literal statue in the pocket, he isn't scrambling out of it, or making anybody miss.
This Defense has also went against some bad QBs and still made them look good. Flacco looked like Tom Brady out there.
The Panthers ran all over this Defense, it was embarrassing.
Bortles also went head to head with Brady in the AFC Champ game. Their stat lines were nearly identical and if the refs don't fuck us over by ruling Myles Jack down, you could then say Bortles also out dueled Brady as well. And we all know what people think of Bortles lol.
I hear and get your perspective, but here's some more..
Minshew is a 6th round rookie who had zero first team reps and just made his 7th ever NFL start, yet he already looks better than a bunch of young QBs who were taken in the top 10.
He's playing with a group of WRs that everybody thought/think was/is one of the weakest in the NFL.
He has zero TE threat.
Hes already set multiple all time NFL records.
He's the first QB in NFL history to throw at least 13 TD with 2 or fewer INTs through his first 8 career games. He set this one today.
He's only 23 years old.
Also don't let the running game fool you. Fournette busted off a 66 yard run today on his very first carry. He gained only 10 yards on 18 carries after that. The running game is working better this year because we actually have a QB now who can threaten opposing Defenses and they aren't constantly stacking the box.
Foles is 31 years old. Always injured. Never played a full season and already reached his peak. He had a great 4 game run a couple years ago on a stacked ass team. Other then that he hasn't really did anything. He's the perfect back up QB. He just isn't worth $22m+ per year. We already know who/what he is and that's average. We don't know what Minshew is, or what he could become. That's why Minshew needs to play, so we can find out.
