the pass was backward and hillman made absolutely no play at the ball before the whistle was blown, where the NE defender did make a play at the ball.
had it not been whistled for no reason, the NE player wouldve picked the ball up and ran it in for a TD, so if anything it was a break for the broncos.
the question is: why on earth did hillman not make a play on the ball? 99% of the time, dumbass NFL players will go out of their way on an obvious incomplete pass to pick the ball up and act like its a fumble, but on one where it actually is a fumble he does nothing????
i was rooting for the broncos and glad NE lost, but how you can act like NE caught the break there is ridiculous.
hillman is the reason why denver didnt retain possession, and he needs someone to teach him just a little bit of awareness.
Fact is it was whistled dead for a reason & the conditions for rule # i were also met.
Google the footage & that NFL rule to understand more.

Take pictures bro
Glad to have some more support :)
You're probably right but what can be done?
Awareness can lessen the chance of it happening again.

meh. its a bad rule, refs shouldnt have the last say with their whistle
I think it's a good rule because it stops the play if both parties fail to react to the ball/or if both players perceive the play to be over.
