Bucs release QB Dan Orlovsky and RB DJ Ware.


I think this makes 2 things clear.

#1 - Schiano&Co see someone in the draft, possibly 3rd-5th to be competition for Freeman
#2 - Schiano has spent alotta time in college watching other RBs smash through teams, he is bound to be aware of under-the-radar guys to pick up and be solid 3rd down backs or change of pace guys

I'm not unhappy with letting these guys go, Ware was solid for most of the time we used him but I'd rather save that $2.5m cap space

We need consistancy from Freeman, and pressure on the QB. They are the 2 concerns - I am confident our randomer/scrub CBs last year woulda been better if our Dline remained healthy.

Either way - bring on the draft. and FU revis

i was hinting at freeman, but also that defensive pressure you guys had a couple seasons ago needs to come back to help your fresh faces in the secondary.

Ronde is literally sitting on his ass until he's made us bucs fan suffer enough.

He'll be back -but prolly not till the day before the Draft or something Will be really shocked if he retires now.

guy has a nonstop motor and should be considered a Charles Woodson-like commodity at this point. not the greatest athlete anymore, but his experience and leadership cannot be found elsewhere in that secondary. time to groom your next stud DB and help dashon transition
