Even if Brady goes down
Asking Jimmy G to come in and win a superbowl is a dream, not realistic. Id feel the same with Hoyer back there.....
Again, he wasn't going to get re-signed, so a 2nd is awesome

i agree with you a lot of the time but have to disagree completely here (w/ bold), a lot of mediocre teams in the NFL. Hoyer is not a winner period, at his best he's a below average QB, Jimmy G knew the system (well) and showed he can run the offense successfully. I would still feel pretty good/excited if Brady were to go down long term with Jimmy G under center. Just my opinion...

I agree with you.

Like I said yesterday, it's hard to know how good any NE backup is, until they play somewhere outside of NE, but he looked like the best of the backups we've had, by a pretty wide margin imo. I said this yesterday, but I'll say it again, (and I think you quoted/agreed with it lol) Brady is obviously the person I'm most confident with when it comes to NE. I'd take him behind center over ANYONE, even a healthy Rodgers or who fucking ever, because Brady has that bullshit IT factor, but out of all the other backup QBs I've been obsessed with football, only Jimmy seemed to have that same IT factor, that Brady has. There's no telling how well he would have done, but I'm confident he was capable enough to win us games, to take us to the playoffs, and to maybe even keep an AFCCG or SB game close if he got there. Every other backup has made me feel like we'd get wiped in the first round, regardless of who we played. I don't think Jimmy is WOW good or anything, but he could be? His ceiling looked so much higher than the other guys, and it's def way higher than Hoyer. I'm sad to see him go, I hope he somehow resigns with us after a shit season in SF if they don't tag him lol. Watch as it's all a plan.

Dolphins always give us trouble, but we should go 5-1 at worst in the division. I'm thinking we'll go 13-3 or 12-4 in this year. First round bye is all but guaranteed for us.

exactly, Jimmy has had what, almost 3 full years learning this offense?, how often do we hear how hard this offense is to learn from other players who come in here? It's not like a Hoyer (or insert whomever) could just come in here and expect to be capable of picking up all of the intricacies of the offense and run it very successfully. If brady goes down, it's going to be a LONG rest of the season...

Randy is a Jimmy apologist, you'll have to forgive him.

Our defense has improved A LOT over the last four weeks. We'll finish probably around 20th, and it's unlikely, but not impossible, while I think it would have been impossible for any of our other QBs. That's all. Not saying he would have won for sure, just that from what we've seen from games/practices/college etc... he looked good enough to possible pull off some Brady like magic, but who the fuck knows. We'll never know now.
