Ok. I agree, but the problem is the lions can't wait to see if young is picked. So, here is my honest opinion on this topic and what I think is going on and what could happen if it works for the lions. The lions leaked a fake stafford trade to make teams think they may draft Tua, and teams behind them will trade with redskins to draft Tua and young falls to lions that way. If that doesn't happen and young is gone at #2 I would like them to draft Ohkuda or whatever his name is from Ohio state the cb or trade down for more picks in the first 2 rounds, not shit ones in the 5th and 6th like they used to

Our defense needs to get at the quarterback, we don't rush near enough. The defensive philosophy is just plain bad. You can't expect corners to cover for 5+ seconds every down, it fucking stupid. i hoe Patricia lets his "bend don't break" defense go and lets the new Defense coordinator do his thing.

So for my side job i work at my families winery, and yesterday we had hosted a pro scout from the 49ers for a wine tasting, he said he thinks we will end up trading the pick to miami for #5 and probably #18 but potentially their later first round pick or draft tua ourselves, he also didnt rule out trading the pick to a different team looking for a qb, but expressed that he expects a miami trade or no trade to be the most likely scenarios.

If by some miracle (his exact words) Young drops to 3rd obviously trading the pick goes out the window but he is expecting us to end up trading the pick. He also expects that trade to happen before the draft, or at the latest the morning of. It is entirely possible, though unlikely, that we trade the pick and chase young is still available at 3, but he says if thats the case the giants will 100% take him at 4, if miami doesnt alter their plans to take a qb given that young unexpectedly falls.

Now obviously he is part of the 49ers, and he doesnt have all the information on the inner discussions of other teams, but he has heard some discussion of these situations from some lions personnel. He cautioned me that obviously a lot of draft strategy and plans are kept close to the vest within the team and drafts in general can be extremely unpredictable.

This is a lot of information that most fans already knew, but it does bring some form of validation to what we have been hearing from an actual person involved with the NFL and not just speculation from media outlets.

Its not that nuts, maybe for the NFL but pick flipping like that happens all the time in the NHL. Maybe not with picks such as high as #3 and #5, those are rarely traded in the NHL but later first round picks are flipped all the time for two or more picks, then flipped again.

That would be awesome, we need to stack players to get better so I'm all for it.
