Maxwell can hopefully plug the hole and not let the whole back end of our defense down.

He knows the system.

Looking at some stuff about Byron Maxwell

He didn't play amazing all the time, but in zone he played great. Not sure why people were hating on him so bad lol

He isn't PP or Revis but Hawks don't need him to be

Played well in zone because he had a talented secondary to cover his weaknesses. Literally. After he went to Philly, you saw how useless he was alone and without Pro Bowl talent around him. Not sure how you're not understanding this.

I absolutely understand that, but the fact is you're exaggerating calling him useless lol

The reality is he was inconsistent based on the games i've seen etc, he played great then bad then great then bad. I think there's quite a few teams he would start for in the NFL I think people are comparing him to PP, Sherman, Talib, etc etc. So if we are talking about money versus performance I get the argument but that's not even what I'm talking about I'm simply stating that he isn't a bad option especially in the Seahawks system even if the secondary has aged a bit.

But what can you do? It's not like there's a lot of better options out there for the Seahawks.

Pardon the hyperbole. He's serviceable and will be fine. Honestly, with all the injuries this season and tumultuous secondary shifts, I'm surprised he was unemployed.

Yeah he's a legit starter on many many teams this year. Shoot he'd probably be a better option even for Green Bay.

There's so many injuries and teams in need that I agree that it's shocking he was unemployed especially considering he took the minimum although he may have just taken the MIN from Seattle.

I won't be shocked if he gets a Jeremy Lane deal after this year for the Seahawks because obviously Seahawks are moving on from Lane anyways.

Nobody in their right mind is going to pay 6mill a year for Maxwell.

Seems like Chancellors injury may be way worse than I thought
