Since QB is likely out of the picture at #7 overall, the pick is looking like it's got to be TE TJ Hockenson, or a trade back for more picks.

If Haskins is there at #7, better fucking draft him.

Doubt he will be. Would be sweet if so but TE is such a need right now.
Fournette would be more able to do his thing with a good blocking TE

A TE isn't going to help Fournette's lack of vision, or help him stay healthy. I don't have much hope in Fournette regardless... Even at his best, he's nothing more than a one trick pony and you rarely get to see that one trick anyways.

A TE will help Foles greatly though, considering the TE is one of Foles' favorite targets, as well as the fact that we have basically nobody at TE.

TJ Hockenson comps very well to Travis Kelce coming out. Kelce is a little bit more athletic, but Hockenson is a better blocker. Hockenson is a true all around TE and should only continue to get better. He is fucking nasty as a blocker and has some sneaky speed. He's going to be good.

I hope you are wrong about fournette. I mean, some of what you are saying is correct but he is a young back. Still plenty of time to adjust to the nfl, lose that chip on his shoulder. Improve his game. Idk, time will tell. We have certainly had plenty of busts in the draft, hope he isnt one of them

RB is one of the easiest/quickest positions to get adjusted to. That's why you see multiple rookies step right in and do great in the NFL from day 1. They can either do it, or they can't and it doesn't take long to tell if they can. They don't need a couple years to develop like most DL guys etc. etc.

He shouldn't still be trying to adjust to the NFL going into his 3rd year. If that's the case, then he's a lost cause. We'll see if he can stay healthy this season, but I'd still prefer us to draft a RB in the 3rd or 4th round.

His first year wasnt terrible nor was it a slam dunk.
Second year is where a lot of injuries to the oline and to him as well happened. Regardless, a second back is needed. I dont believe that foles is going to be the pass threat here as he was in philly...

Who is he going to throw to? We have a couple of guys that have shown some skill but no clear #1. We took a chance on Lee amd let our top 2 receivers go and he got mangled. Idk. Foles has some skills but im worried about his weapons

Dede Westbrook is legit. He's good. I'm not worried about him at all.

Lee is a huge question mark. We'll see how he bounces back after a pretty bad knee injury.

Chark flashed some ability, but a shoulder injury limited him down the stretch of the season. He's still a work in progress and we'll see what he can bring in year 2.

Cole was a huge disappointment this past season. His fumbles costed us at least one game and he got the worst case of the drops. Lead the team in them and had some of the worst drops I've ever seen. He'll have to earn a roster spot this season imo.

Chris Conley is the new guy we just signed from the Chiefs. Good size and freakishly athletic. We'll see what he can bring.

I think they should draft a WR in the 3rd or 4th round.

TE is a bigger issue than WR is though. I wouldn't have an issue with them taking two TEs in this draft, but we'll come away with at least one for sure.

We have 5 picks in the first 109 selections. Two of them are 3rd rounders. I wouldn't have an issue with trading back a little bit in the 1st and trying to add another 2-3 draft picks. That would be pretty ideal honestly, but TJ Hockenson would be tough to pass up and we could risk losing him if we trade back too far. I don't think there's any way he'd make it past Green Bay at #12.

I could see our draft going something like this.

1 - TE
2 - OL
3 - DE/Safety
3 - WR/RB
4 - RB/WR
6 - TE/DT/OL/S/LB
7 - OL/DT/TE/LB/S

It would address all the main areas of need, but obviously a lot of that depends on who's on the board when said picks come up because things can change fast.
