I know we needa show this kid love, he did make a great run to help the game winning drive to stay alive

but lets not knock what schaub has done... who knows if schaub was still around might of not came down to that...

But we dont have that so thank goodness we had tj to get out of that sack

Without Andre Johnson, Schaub would have struggled in the passing game against the good defenses - Bengals, Falcons, Jaguars, Ravens and Raiders (two games he lost). You really need good mobility when playing those good pass-rushing teams. Especially when they don't have to play Cover 2 defenses and use the extra safety to help cover Andre Johnson.

Final play against the Raiders for example, when Oakland only had 10 men on the field. Schaub had a chance to win that game but hesitated when it appeared he had a little daylight to run untouched into the end zone, but he's too slow and then lobbed one up in the end zone for the loss.

Matt Schaub is a top 10 quarterback. Nobody can argue his great passing arm, amazing accuracy and he can throw the deep ball a lot better than T.J. Yates. But what I'm saying is Yates can bring a lot of other things to the table when it comes to the short-passing game. His ability to run and make plays with his feet is fun to watch.

In this type of offense the Texans run, especially without Andre Johnson, I think Yates can do things better than Schaub can.

He's proven it already. Sample size, I know. But no way Schaub would have ran for a critical first down on that 3rd and 15.

ya he does have that extra ability to makes plays with his feet. That is no doubt...

And i like the guy alot he seems to be another texan... he seems to do all the right things. He seems like a great teammate...

Dont get me wrong i am a Texan fan through and through, i just as of now still think matt schaub would still be better to have. it would be hard to argue..

I try to not be a skeptic but the unknown is scary, but when Yates ran for that 17 yards i think the majority of the texans where thinking We have this game... idk ill tell you one thing ill be at the local bar cheering them on the last 2 sundays and the thursday game inbetween that...

BTW Can i just mention that the texans had Foster, Schaub, and Johnson on the field for like 2 quarters or something like that... I Love this team

Schaub would have had a big game against Atlanta and Jacksonville. Their secondaries were depleted due to injuries. Andre Johnson did play in those games but left early in the Falcons game and was on a strict play count against the Jaguars. But we all saw what Schaub did when the Ravens and Raiders came at him with good pressure. It would have been the same thing against the Bengals. They probably would have found a way to win but I don't think we would have blown them out without Andre Johnson.

When healthy, I think the Texans are arguably as good as the Packers, Ravens, Patriots, Saints, or any other team in the NFL for that matter. But the sign of a good team is overcoming injuries. What the Packers did last year was pretty remarkable but then again, they didn't lose their two best players on offense and their best player on defense like the Texans have lost this year.

Houston will probably be a Super Bowl contender next year. Imagine how much room for improvement there is with this young team? This is only Wade Phillips' first year as defensive coordinator. Four of his best defensive players are not even in their prime yet -- Barwin (25), Cushing (24), Reed (24) and Watt (22).

As of right now, I still think they can get a first-round bye in the playoffs. A top two seed in the AFC should be the goal in these final three games. There is no time for a let down. Next two games will be in four days -- Panthers on Sunday and Colts on Thursday. No time to rest at all. It's coming up fast.

LOL, the Bengals gave Yates' family those seats. They didn't have binoculars because they thought the Bengals gave them better seats.

"But my son is playing quarterback for the Texans!"

The Texans are a classy organization. I heard they're giving Cam Newton's father seats close to the visitor's side line for Sunday's game in Reliant.

Bob Allen on ABC-13 news interviewed his father last night. He thanked the Bengals for the nice gesture and free tickets but said if he had known they would be that bad, he could have gotten a nice deal on StubHub. But he and his wife had a great experience and that made up for the bad seating location.
