Cook is alright. If we can get him to chill the fuck out and not rush throws he'd be a fine backup.

Alright, I'm ready for Cook now lol. Let's see what this prospect dropped so far because of.

More promise than McGloin I'll say that much. The game really highlighted how important Carr is to the offense and how much he controls the offensive pace. Our team doesn't function without a QB who can make throws and build momentum.

McGloin is more likely to be a solid game manager. He won't make a lot of good reads or throws, but is less likely to make mistakes and turn the ball over. That being said, our run game is despondent without a passing threat. Lacking Carr hurt us in that dimension, and the stat line shows it.

Cook on the other hand seemed to be more willing to make real throws. He was erratic and missed several throws, particularly on deep passes, but he also gave the offense a bit more of a spark than McGloin did. The turnovers were costly, and unfortunate, and he handles blitzes worse than a virgin touching boobs for the first time, but he at least injected a little bit of life into the offense. He gives us a better chance to win, given how poorly we responded (both offensively and defensively) when Carr was not in the game. With McGloin, we didn't seem to have any pep in our game. Maybe the halftime talk did a lot of that. Maybe the team just doesn't rally around him.

Either way, McGloin is banged up. Not sure the extent of the injury, but I'm looking forward to how we coach up Cook for this playoff game. If we can get him to settle down and not panic against pressure, we can have a real chance to beat the Texans, who frankly aren't a very good team either. After that we'll be in trouble, because we'd likely lose to the Steelers, Chiefs, Patriots, etc. without Carr, but hey, against the Texans if Cook can make some progress and our defense can play with some spunk we've got a shot.

Also if these 30000 injuries are minor. We got fucked in the ass today with injuries.

And if it wasn't obvious from these comments, I'll say it outright: dead fucking wrong about McGloin's ability to play. Thought he'd improve with a much improved team around him...not a fucking chance.

I lost a nice chunk of money to the raiders this season...I'm sad to see carr go though because he's one of the best team leaders i've seen in a long time...maybe better than manning

Oakland has a chance to win a playoff game, because Houston is that bad.

Or it's Revenge time for the Texans, because of that crap pulled in Mexico
