Gonna rant and post my thoughts about the team so far.
We are 2-0 but we could have easily been 1-1 or even 0-2.
I think the biggest problem we have on offense is lack of true #1 receiver. Sorry Maclin fans aka DM but Maclin is showing why he will never be a true #1 receiver. Seriously he been dropping couple passes and not making nearly enough plays.
Cooper has been shit so far. He's been dropping a lot of crucial long passes. Matthews hasn't been anything spectacular even for a rookie.
Foles has been playing like shit. His stats don't look bad but my god he looks awful. Missing open receivers left and right. Holding on to the ball for too long. Bad decisions (something we didn't see last year).
Some positives? Zach Ertz aka next Jimmy Graham. Oh and of course Darren Sprolesgod. Sproles trade has to be one of the best offseason trade in the league so far.
Defensively we been solid. Nothing great but not shitty either. I would love for some more forced TO but it is what it is. Hopefully Kendricks is healthy soon because Casey is shit.
Negative sir, I don't know what you're watching but you can not seriously sit there and put the blame on Maclin...
Yes, he's made a few mistakes (every WR makes them) but Foles has missed WAY too often when trying to connect with Maclin. His accuracy issues, especially deeper passes are a HUGE concern so far. Week 1 he missed Maclin for a wide open touchdown, and this last game he overshot him in the endzone for a guaranteed score. Not to mention all the countless passes thrown at his feet, or just out of reach...
And Maclin is fast...VERY fast. It's hard to overthrow him.
Maclin has scored a TD in his last 4 games played, dating back to 2012. All 4 of those games have been with Foles at QB, so obviously Foles loves Maclin and will continue to go to him (22 targets already through 2 games this season) but Foles NEEDS to be more accurate. Not just to Maclin, but to everyone. He has thrived on these short dink & dunk passes to his RB's to bail him out which will not work all season. He needs to actually connect to his outside guys accurately like he was doing last season...
Riley Cooper is ballz, I'm really not a big fan of him and I think Jordan Matthews is our second best WR right now anyway. Once Matthews gets a few years under his belt he'll be far better than Cooper ever could of been.
