We are most definitely going DT early

Dumervil goes FA.

Who'd you guys rather have in TB? Go after Dumervil? Or get Revis?

Personally I'd rather have Dumervil. Seeing as we lost Bennet, we need a guy who can handle the run, and pass rush like  a mo'fo.
Though I haven't heard any talk about TB talking to Dumervil, but I sure would like them to.

I have a feeling they will get Revis for a future first rounder and maybe an additional pic. They don't seem willing to give up their first rounder this year so my guess is they have someone they are very keen on picking up.

I'd suspect so. I think a lot of teams want to see what Revis' ACL is like. Coming off major surgery and asking 15+ mil a year? I believe thats why no one has snatched him up already. But who knows, maybe he will pull an Adrian Peterson, and go beast mode this year.. 10+ pics?! Whoo sounds nice lol

If this is legit, and we can keep our draft picks this year and give up the 1st and 2nd next year, I am fucking THRILLED with this! First time i've actually been happy about this Revis shite

Well they must have something odd in mind for the first rounder this year... Our obvious priority is CB, and the video I watched earlier suggested that MIA, and TEN are both going to draft CB first round, leaving TB with shit for picks in the CB department. Unless we move up to get someone, we are probably going to sign Revis, and draft to LB or DL would be my guess.
I understand we signed a TE this past week or the week before, I'm not sure if we released Clarke.. I hope we did. We don't need a WR kind of TE, we need a TE who can block as well, and help against the pass rush. Clarke frankly does not fit the bill.
We are actually quite thin @ qb. We have Freeman, and Orlovsky, and that's it. I'm hoping we get someone 2nd round. After taking care of the secondary, the defense is gonna be seriously stacked with Barron, and now Goldson. Put Revis back there and wooooo doggy. Though ya gotta worry that we'll end up like Philly with a stacked secondary, that can't produce the numbers they are getting paid a shitload to get...

We still have Clarke, and chances are he's staying with us for another year.

IMO fuck the CB class of this draft, we require a DT! We need someone to replace, and dominate more than Miller. I guarantee that you put someone who can cause half as much disruption as McCoy, suddenly our DEs / LBs are getting sacks, suddenly we are turning the ball over more!

I also can't agree about QBs, we can get someone in the 5th/6th round, there are loads out there and alot that fly under the radar, like the dude who sat on the Bench so Nick Foles could have a full year starting and get drafted. I want that guy, Matt something.

Or a Tom Brady? lol he nearly went undrafted before NE took him. Yeah shit like that can happen. Though if ya ask me, we need to draft a QB similar to Freeman so there aren't extra hurdles to jump if a backup's gotta step in. It would help the OC and Shiano out a lot of the backup has a similar skill set to Freemans. Not sure you're gonna get that kinda selection up into the 5th or 6th round.
But yeah I'd agree we need to avoid the CB drafting, and pick up someone for the d line, or possibly a LB who can get on the line like James Harrison or his ilk. Having someone who can hit the line from the 2nd level and get penetration as well as getting up there on the line of scrimmage and do the same thing would be great. I guess thats why I was making the remarks about Dumervil.

Dumervil makes sense imo - a proven player, a better prospect than Bennet given his experience and stats.

I just read an article from Joebucsfan.com that annoys me - ideas floating about 2013 1st rounder, 2014 first rounder, and atleast another high pick from next year.

Gross overpay - we would literally be assfucking ourselves.

Dumervl would be great but i think hes too small for schiano and co`s liking. The qb bob is talking about is matt scott and thats someone as u stated fits the bucs offense. He has strong arm and has a bit of mobility. The bucs as bob stated needs a qb i 5th or 6th round to develop that fits the scheme. Also we need a dt or nose tackle to be more specific to eat space and demand double teams to open it up for mccoy and the others. Usually someone that exceeds upward of 340+ lbs. Star lotuleilei comes to mind if hes in the first another guy in later rounds i like is john jenkins.

Well unfortunately for any and all DT's that get looked at by TB have to worry about getting the Sapp comparison. "Can this guy live up to what Sapp usd to do?" ect.
Tho frankly great DT's like that are almost as rare as elite QB's. Getting a guy with a 340 lb build with immense skill like that is a mo fo. Plus ya really need 2. Guys that big tend to get gassed from fighting off double teams and throwing around 6'8 300 lb OL guys lol. So yeah, I'd concur about a DT, though I think LB is still a higher priority. Ultimately I'd hope we get someone with exp to run the defense for us...
Of course any LB getting looked at also faces the comparison dilemma as well, with guys like Brooks and Nickerson from the good ol' days as well.
