Won't deny, I am pissed off about letting Bennett go - surely we coulda offered 5.5mill on a 1 year to keep him??

yea.. I agree. Obviously they are going to get Revis I mean its the only viable reason they have passed up all these CB's and also let Bennett walk. With the WORST flipping secondary almost in history and you pick up ZERO cb's there is a problem hopefully they figure it out but it kind of puts them in a bad place because seems like Jets now know we are need of a corner.

The price is what annoys me about that - only that we would have to really hurt ourselves long term draft wise.

Yep... was crazy cheap for a guy that is an absolute beast in the run game and also adds a bit of a pass rush if anything he could of played early run downs and we aren't going to find someone like that for the price.

Really surprised by Schiano and MD doing this - BUT There could be a plan afoot.

Schiano knows alotta the studs in this draft, he has alotta sources and his own knowledge, I got a sneaky sneaky feeling that we may trade down into the 20s, draft some beast of a DT or DE.

yea... We better get Revis as well cuz if not were screwed it will be another year under 500 with the talent at CB we have. Also I think we should grab Datone Jones if the scenario works out as you said hes a beast of a man and could work well on our D line. Or someone who drops like Bjoern Werner if we trade back to the 20's

Losing Bennett sucks but signing him for one year wouldn't have been that great because this team likely needs a bit longer to become a contender. Signing Ogletree is interesting, I wonder how well he'll do behind Jackson/Williams and what that means for Underwood. I'd like to see them get a solid TE at some point, preferably Patriots style in the 3rd-4th round.

Who'd you guys rather have in TB? Go after Dumervil? Or get Revis?

Personally I'd rather have Dumervil. Seeing as we lost Bennet, we need a guy who can handle the run, and pass rush like a mo'fo.
Though I haven't heard any talk about TB talking to Dumervil, but I sure would like them to.
