Chiefs are a very good team and they match up very well against us. We're going to struggle if we can't threaten to run the ball...Washington had 4.9 YPC I'm really not sure why we didn't keep it on the ground more frequently given his success.
Not surprised at the outcome, but it still stings. Don't worry too much about it, we'll get a chance for revenge and next time around we should fair better. Ugly loss but we're still a young, growing team and those learning pains are a part of the road to long-term success.
Yeah I was just talking about this with buddies at work. Carr has basically won us our 4 games this year with his play. Without him, we'd pretty much be 0-5. That said, you don't want to take the ball out of his hands after a bad first half or a bad three quarters, but at what point -- when you NEED to convert -- do you stop relying on the passing game when it clearly wasn't clicking today and start trusting the running game, which had been working today. Frustrating, but I understand Musgrave's logic. Hindsight 20/20. If Carr had led a quick TD drive (before the fumble) and we got a stop and had a final drive in to tie it up in the last minute, we would be praising Musgrave for sticking with the air it out gameplan.
Anyways we need a good LB so badly. Mack and Irvin should not be considered LB's because they really aren't, in our system. Heeney/James/Smith/Perry are not cutting it. Period. This should be our #1 need this offseason

I am definitely going to sleep hard on LA, they already got a team.
Goodell wants 2. He will get 2.
