Would you rather the Eagles picked Kelvin Benjamin with the 1st pick and Marcus Smith with the second?

I think that Smith would've fallen to where we got Matthews in the 2nd, and I would've been more pleased with Benjamin over Matthews, but not by too too much honestly. I read someone ask this scenario and wanted to see what you guys thought.

Matthews > benjamin and it's not even close

Right. I think Benjamin could have a really high ceiling in this league, but he also has a really low floor. He's a boom or bust type, the physical tools are there but he has limited football experience under his belt and had the 1 good year.

But Benjamin doesn't "just" have size, he's got good speed for a guy that size, good at creating separation with those long legs, very hard to tackle, and a big time clutch player who makes big plays in big moments.

I could see Benjamin taking a few years to develop as he's more raw than most WR's draft in the first few rounds, but he's got a lot of potential just lacks the experience.

Matthews on the other hand, being the most prolific WR in SEC history having a ridiculously great college career playing 4 seasons will be an immediate impact type guy and should see quite a few passes thrown his direction in this offense as our #3 right now.

Shows how Vick didn't even look near Cooper's way when Vick was the starter.

Well Maclin was almost injured again
Imagine if he was injured and Kelly went up in flames for kicking Jackson off.

Coach Chip Kelly said last week that wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is “doing fantastic” as he makes his way back from last year’s torn ACL, but those good feelings were put on hold for a moment at Monday’s practice.

As reported almost simultaneously by every media member at the Eagles practice field, Maclin went down to the ground after failing to catch a pass and remained there while grabbing his knee. Silence fell over the field and those who were in attendance at training camp last year likely had a moment of deja vu that came to an end when Maclin got to his feet after about 30 seconds and walked off the field.

It doesn’t appear that Maclin suffered a serious injury. Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Maclin said he was fine as he made his way off the field and smiled when he was told that he scared a lot of people.

Maclin will likely get a closer look to make sure that all is indeed well before resuming his on-field work, but absent other knowledge it seems Monday’s scare will be forgotten before too long.

League sources tell me Eagles starting RT Lane Johnson has tested positive for PEDs and will miss first 4 games.
