Bell says he'll either sit next season or retire if franchised again, that's rough. Gonna assume they wanna franchise him again too.

I don't blame him. He needs to get his huge contract right now. He just had over 400 (321 carries, 85 catches) touches this regular season and history isn't on the side of RBs who touch the ball that many times in a single season.

edit: hell hes had over 1,100 (1,541 total in his career atm) touches in 3 seasons alone. He's still only 25, but my god that body has taken a pounding already.

I don't blame him either, the guy deserves a huge contract. Didn't he just decline one that would have paid him like $12 mil/year with $30 mil over the first 2 years though?

I understand he feels he's worth more, but come on.

He also had 750 touches in College. His final year he had 382 carries and 32 catches. That was before he slimmed down. He played at like 240-250 pounds in College and was more of a bruiser.

I do agree about him being patient and not constantly lowering his head to try and bull through people, but he's still being hit and has put a lot of mileage on those legs.

28/29 years old is typically the start of the decline for any RB, let alone one with these kind of touches.

Linebackers are underpaid

You don't see pats players coming out days b4 a big playoff game causing distractions. Like, ever. That's part of why we'll never get past NE. They are disciplined and we are not.

Side note: Pgh would be dumb to give bell the kind of contract he wants. I think they know it though. That's why they ran the wheels off this year.
