I wouldn't doubt it, disability probably isn't paying much.

I don't get disability yet, I get L&I $$$ though which is $1,894.37 a month.
Once I get disability I should get around 3k a month.
Then being placed at a level 2 or 3 I will also get a check for $9,885.54 or $19,711.05.
So I should be looking at 2.4-2.9k a month plus that bonus...

I was actually already looking for something really cool for whoever I get. I wish I knew what team they were a fan of now, a police auction site has some sweet rings up for bid right now.
How cool would this be for a Raiders fan? Ken "the snake" Stabler super bowl ring the makers showed to the Raiders as a sample before they chose the design.
