What exactly was your point then? One of the oldest games does something differently then the game you watch? Either way, your point is fucking retarded.

It's alright to not get something or not like something, just leave it the fuck alone and let others enjoy it if that's the case. Game ending bad calls happen in every sport, it's up to the ref to try and not fuck up that hard. If it's a 100% accident, generally a pk will not be awarded. Intentionally blocking a ball coming towards your goal is an automatic red and a penalty kick.

My point is very valid. The clock should stop. You see guys rolling around on the ground holding their ankles every time a defender steals the ball of them. Play stops while this guy anguishes in pain, while the other team is running out of time to tie the game up. And I forget what game it was but someone got the ball shot into their hand and they did nothing to hit it intentionally, and the other team got a penalty shot.

I don't like soccer much and that's fine if you do, although I did get into it for the world cup. There's things I don't like about the sport but I'm not going to sit here and argue which sport is better.

Soccer runs around 2 hours, including halftime and stoppage (regulation). I think they will continue to avoid doing what every other sport does with 3-4 hour run times with only 60 minutes of actual play lol. I'm not sure what game you're talking about for the PK, I don't recall any unjust ones with the exceptions of Brasil/Netherlands which were both for flopping, that's just bad officiating.

I love Football far more than I'll ever love Soccer. It's still an entertaining game and it makes sense the way they do it, no reason to change something that's worked for a century+ lol.

my post wasn't really that serious anyway, just my reaction to whatever post i quoted lol. Soccer is just different from what I'm used to, so of course I'm not going to like those differences. Although i admit watching the world cup kind of makes me want to go play soccer lol.

Definitely a lot more fun to play than watch, I'm far too out of shape for that shit these days. I played growing up but I'd be dying after 10 minutes these days.

You and me both, man. I loved the sport when I was young and in excellent cardiovascular shape, but I'd be dead way before halftime these days.

funny thing is i actually agree with the idea of either stopping the clock or more accurately calculating stoppage time

once you're in it you can just sub and spend forever on goal kicks to kill the clock, kind of shady but it's similar in my mind to the NBA with hack a shaq and shit (although the changed rules for that a little which was nice)

if i played soccer, i would just kick the sh*t out of the ball as hard as i could directly at the person in front of me every single f**king time no matter what. wonder how that would work out for my career

I don't understand why they don't kick/head the soccer ball into the goal. Most of the time they kick the ball just outside of the goal. I guess it keeps the goalie off-guard for that one time when you actually try to sneak the ball in.

i used to wonder why they would occasionally kick it twenty rows up into the stands

now i understand it's about fan involvement to keep the crowd engaged and make sure they're awake.
