It looked to me like he had possession before he hit the ground, it should’ve been the end of the play when he went down. I don’t really care to argue about it, but it was a questionable call

yee but they changed the rule so a player cannot have possession while going to the ground, without having made a football move prior to going to the ground

e/ for clarification:

a receiver going to the ground in the process of the reception cannot have possession until the catch is completed through ground contact, unless they've made a football move prior to going to the ground (steps with the ball/etc)

Impossible tho, the process of the catch starts with him in the air, he needs to make a few steps prior / survive the ground to consider it.

Think about it like this, if the db isn't there to strip it, cooks knees hit ground but on the way to the ground the Ball moves or he drops it, it wouldn't be a catch aka he doesn't survive the ground. The db stripping the ball from him is considered him not surviving the ground just as if the ball comes lose on the way tk the ground.

there was a missed PI early in the game that would have been in favor of the bills, but otherwise the refs did decent imo

this is obvious PI, DB right arm is contact the right arm of the wideout, ez clear as day flag

This one is obvious as well, because the DB is literally wrapped around the wideout and the ball is not in frame yet:

edit: ball in frame

has jsp lost ball knowledge this hard this quickly

People also forget before that int, they were holding in the end zone which would have been a safety, int never happens, bo nix isnt hit late and breaks his ankle.

First pic depends on how long he was holding the arm. That sort of shit happens alllll the time. A pic like that doesn't really clarify. He can hold for a second and it wont get called most of the time. If he holds for a while thats a different story.

In a nutshell we could break down every single NFL game and in the majority of them find multiple plays where PI occurs, technically. When its slowed down, zoomed in, and we watch closely. It is what it is.

I understand what you're saying, but by rule it does not matter "how long" he infringes on the wrs ability to catch the ball, if he does it at all it's a PI.

I just wish they'd be more consistent across the league with calls of all kinds
