Let me guess… your idea to stop more mass shootings is “good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns” we had over 800 “good guys” with guns and it still happened.. It’s the guns. It’s always been the guns. The rest of the world doesn’t have to deal with this shit the way we have to. People talk about “MUH freedom” but we don’t have the freedom to go about our daily lives without in the back of our minds, where are the exit points, what happens if someone starts firing, our children are taught how to navigate active shooter situations & get trained on it regularly. Thats the freedom we have. Thats why I said nothing will change because the gun lobby’s are immune & have bought half the politicians. It happens at school, church, movie theaters, Super Bowl parades, grocery stores, concerts, dance clubs, bars, basically anywhere more than 2 Americans are at the same time… there’s been a mass shooting. We’ve had more mass shootings in 2024 than days in 2024.
I always go back to a tweet I saw that says something like “after Sandy Hook happened and we did nothing but thoughts & prayers I knew the gun debate was over. Once we decided it was okay to massacre 6 year olds at school nothing will ever change” and it’s sad but true.
So whats the answer then? Outlaw guns? Will criminals who intend on attempting mass murder decide to not break the law if its unlawful to own a gun in any capacity?
