Although for your welds to not be ugly lumps of crap, you also need a tank of inert gas (argon mix usually), a regulator, and a hose. That's something you can buy at a welding shop.

And it takes a lot of practice to even get a simple straight-line weld to look nice. I still never quite learned even at my best, but it got the job done when necessary.
