we nearly beat the 49ers. just needed one of these plays to happen:

1) cobb broken tackle for end zone in 4th quarter
2) hyde interception on final 49er drive
3) bush needed to contain kaep on 3rd and 8 with 1 min remaining
4) any of jones near downfield grabs

we also lost shields and neal in 1st quarter. capers did an excellent job with the personnel he had. just couldn't make a play to win the game

its a shame we had to play the 49ers in the wild card round, IMO they had the best chance to knock out the pack. (i don't think seattle or carolina matches up on us as well. you can run against seattle and throw big on carolina.)

Seattle's offense is very similar to SF and probably better in most areas. Defense is obviously better. No way GB matches up better against Seattle than SF IMO, especially since the game would be at Seattle.

Refs were bad both ways, but there was an extremely easy holding call on 4th and 2 missed and a PI that wasn't called second FG for San Fran
