Giants on Jared Allen's Wish List

Packer Report's Bill Huber allows that Denver could be Allen's "potential fifth suitor." Allen is clearly targeting contender-type teams only, suggesting he is willing to play for less than a premium price. The Buccaneers, Patriots, and Broncos make the most sense because they run 4-3 defenses.

The Giants are one of two finalists for free-agent G Geoff Schwartz, along with the Rams. He could decide today.

Giants have not ruled out either free-agent center -- Evan Dietrich-Smith or Brian de la Puente -- though Schwartz seems to be their priority at the moment.

CB Trumaine McBride's deal, which he's expected to sign today, is two years, $3.1 million.

K Josh Brown's new deal should become official shortly after 4 p.m.

P Steve Weatherford restructured his contract to reduce his 2014 salary from $2.025M to $900,000, clearing about $750,000 in cap space. He'll make the difference up in bonuses.

G Chris Snee's salary was cut from $6.75 million to $2 million, not to $1.1 million as originally reported.
