I beleieve the military would slaughter us, but how many of them are going to shoot our own people to take something from them that most of them agree with too. They are not brainwashed into automatons doing whatever they are told. It's different to shoot people you know and your own family. the only way I truly see it happening s if the US brought in NATO troops who don't give a fuck.

Yeah... While that's true and all, all they have to do is go door to door trying to confinscate guns, once someone resists they can be shot etc.

I'd rather not think about a full civil war over guns and I really hope it never comes down to it because it'd be terrible for all parties involved...

We’ve had bombs missile jet fighters bombers etc in the Middle East forever. They keep fighting, in Vietnam, they kept fighting until it became too unpopular... I would think the military firing on Americans would be fairly unpopular. It’s hard to defeat/destroy an ideology like the right to bear arms.

The military wouldn’t want to turn the United States into rubble, which they could do, but why would the government want to destroy their own country.. that would destroy their ability to continue to keep militaristic campaigns.

Going door to door confiscating guns/arresting/shooting people in their own homes would make your average American freak the fuck out.

The military would do what they’re ordered to do for a while, but those that don’t follow orders could be court martialed or killed if the military higher ups radicalize enough. Then there would be widespread desertion/AWOL members for getting orders to attack their own Americans. It would be such a shit show. Which is why politicians don’t try a full federal gun ban completely.

It's all part of the Facebook engine. They have an algorithm that takes the things you "Like" and fills your feed with similar content.

If you "Like" things more right leaning, you see more of that, and vice versa.

If you "Like" things more religion-based, you see more of that, with the algorithm targeting which specific religion you're reacting to.

Same with anti-whatever propaganda. If you are a more right leaning Facebook user, you're going to see propaganda pushed by that side of politics, and vice versa.

It's a pretty genius way to keep your user base up, giving them exactly what they want to see, but it's also one of the main culprits in the divide in this country, because now so many people get their "news" through Facebook, and they're only getting the side that already confirms their bias. And they'll believe it, whether it's right or wrong, as long as it's something they agree with.
