Interesting.. I thought we would go with Lewan for sure but TE instead of OT first pick could work out well for us.

Lewan is not worth the 12th overall pick

We can target OL in FA and rounds 2 and 3

@ClaytonESPN: According to a source, the projection for the 2014 salary cap is now at $132 million.

Just got another 2 mill... was only supposed to be about $128 million then we find out it went up to $130 mill, and now it's $132 million.

Of course it applies to the entire league. I wasn't saying it's great news for just us.

It's great news for everyone but we have the most UFA's in the NFL and some key names we have to sign.

Because he's not a great talent, especially not for 12th overall.

The ONLY offensive linemen I would take in the 1st is Robinson but I highly doubt he will be there when we pick. If he is we run to the podium.

In order of who I want with some semblance of reality of being there:

Mack
Robinson
Barr
Ebron
Dennard
Gilbert

I was about to argue that I still want OT like Lewan for first pick, but then I read on and they say he has some character concerns (I wonder what) so now I want Ebron.

The Giants accomplished something in 2008 that, on a list of things that make their fans smile, might sit right below winning the Super Bowl.

The Giants made Cowboys owner Jerry Jones cry during their ’08 postseason run, which ended with them collecting the Lombardi Trophy. The Giants won in Dallas, 21-17, that year in the divisional playoff round.

Jones told a group of reporters Sunday that three losses have left him in tears as owner of the Cowboys. The first was a 1995 NFC Championship defeat in San Francisco that kept them from a three-peat. The second was the 2002 season opener in Houston, when they lost to the expansion Texans in their new state-of-the-art facility.

The third was the Giants loss. The Cowboys were 13-3 and division champs that season. They had the lead entering the fourth quarter until a Brandon Jacobs touchdown run proved to be the difference.

Dallas had the ball just outside the Giants’ 20-yard line in the final minute, but Tony Romo threw an interception to R.W. McQuarters on fourth down. After the loss, Jones was devastated. See for yourself. The classic Jerry 'We Blew It' face.

“That’s where I went to the place I used to go to when they would call and tell me that I had just lost all of my money on a dry hole,” Jones recalled this weekend at the NFL Combine.

Jerry wasn’t broke, but he remained without a playoff win for the 11th consecutive year. The Cowboys finally won a postseason game two seasons later, their first since the Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin days. It’s been downhill ever since.

Giants fans, likely still smiling.
