Thoughts...


Generally underwhelming offensive play calling yet again
Crabtree and Cooper got minimal separation, which is pretty disappointing given ATL's secondary
Seth Roberts and Andre Holmes were complete non factors
Lee Smith, he of the 20 career receptions in 4 seasons prior to signing with us, is now apparently an option in the passing game? He's a blocking TE... either use him like that or dont use him at all
Special teams was terrible... I've liked Taiwan Jones for a long time but he's getting on my nerves.
Khalil Mack got absolutely shut out today. A virtual non factor for the 2nd week in a row. Though he is a slow starter
Sean Smith just could not contain Julio Jones in man to man coverage... and even worse than that, I'm not sure why we ever expected him to be able to?!?!?!? I'm looking at you, Ken Norton.
LB's were horrible today... Heeney and Malcolm had very forgettable performances
TE's continue to shred our defense
Don't know that we're utilizing Reggie Nelson's skill set in the best way
Keith McGill was the worst defensive performer on the field today. I'd rather see Nate Allen or Karl Joseph.

Our running game looked good though. Glad Penn didn't get seriously hurt there.

Nice start for the running game. Been so much better this year than last. The change of pace backs and added run blocking help have made a huge difference.

Don't know that I'd call a 7 point win over the Titans "looking good"


but I'm glad our pass defense looked at least marginally better. Also very happy that the 2 picks today were by Nelson and Smith...should help their confidence a bit. Still can't cover any TE's lol. Our run D got gashed today
