I think so too... I just hope we can work something out.

I think it's a mistake to get rid of him. I want to see him in this new offense, with a new contract.

Did a draft simulator. What do you guys think of our draft?

http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=70166313&f=204

Rd 1 Pick 12 - OT Taylor Lewan Michigan
-I know the other Giants fans wouldn't like this pick very much... They seem to think our offensive line is just fine and dandy the way it is, but we need a legit top tier offensive tackle. This guy can bring us that.

Rd 2 Pick 43 - TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins Washington
-This was rather simple? If this guy were available at our Rd 2 selection I would cream myself. Michael Sam went #39 to Jacksonville fyi

Rd 3 Pick 74 - CB Antone Exum Virginia Tech
-I'm ok with reaching for a big corner to put alongside Prince here. Among the remaining corners I felt this guy has the most upside.

Rd 4 Pick 109 - RB Andre Williams Boston College
-I want the Giants to draft this guy so bad. Big physical runner with great instincts.

Rd 5 Pick 140 - S Tre Boston North Carolina
-Too good of a player to pass up here. They like their 3 safety sets and I don't see Rolle being around for too much longer. This would be a solid pick should Stevie Brown end up walking due to injury/contract dispute coming up.

Rd 6 Pick 171 - OLB Devon Kennard USC
-They finally pick a decent sized linebacker. No more 6'5" DE's at LB or 6'0" 210 lb guys. A big 6'3" 255 that can hopefully move.

Here's the 1st round..some funny picks lol
1. HOU Teddy Bridgewater
2. STL Jake Matthews
3. JAX Blake Bortles
4. CLE Johnny Manziel
5. OAK Derek Carr
6. ATL Jadaveon Clowney
7. TB Scott Crichton
8. MIN Sammy Watkins
9. BUF Greg Robinson
10. DET Anthony Barr
11. TEN Khalil Mack
12. NYG Taylor Lewan
13. STL Jason Verrett
14. CHI Louis Nix III
15. PIT Timmy Jernigan
16. DAL Ra'Shede Hageman
17. BAL Mike Evans
18. NYJ Davante Adams
19. MIA Zack Martin
20. ARI Morgan Moses
21. GB Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix
22. PHI CJ Mosley
23. KC Marqise Lee
24. CIN Dee Ford
25. SD Ryan Shazier
26. CLE Xavier Su'a-Filo
27. NO Darqueze Dennard
28. CAR Kelvin Benjamin
29. NE Eric Ebron
30. SF Justin Gilbert
31. DEN Bradley Roby

A lot of people have us taking Lewan.... can't say I'd be mad with upgrading the O-line with the 1st pick, it's just I want an impact player at 12. We can upgrade the O-line in FA and in the 2nd. We need a corner opposite Prince or 3 down LB.

We have two linebackers that can play 3 downs. I still don't know what they're doing with Paysinger but the guy can flat out play.. and we have Beason.. Not a necessity right now. I don't see many linebackers in the draft that can come in and make a big impact right now anyways.

We need to prioritize the OL in FA and the draft.. There are plenty of corners in the draft that can come in and be the #2 guy for us that we don't have to use a 1st or 2nd round pick on. I think we need a legit OT in the 1st and if there's a player like Seferian-Jenkins or a corner that slipped that we like in the 2nd.

A minuscule chance remains that Hakeem Nicks will return to the New York Giants.

Still, that reality won't stop Victor Cruz from lobbying for his outside receiver to stick with Big Blue. 2014 free-agent roundup

"I have (asked him to stay)," Cruz told  The Star-Ledger's Conor Orr on Wednesday. "Selfishly, I would love for him to stay."

When Nicks was at his best, he took double teams away from Cruz, so it's not a surprise the slot receiver would yearn for those days again.

Nicks has had back-to-back disappointing seasons after two 1,000-plus yard years in 2010 and 2011. The receiver's durability has become a question. While he only missed one game in 2013, nagging injuries appeared to slow him throughout the season.

The 26-year-old free agent, despite his recent struggles, remains likely to get a contract offer the Giants won't consider matching. Nicks spent last offseason season posturing for an extension that never came. At least one team will drool over Nicks' potential and pay big for it, despite the drops, inconsistent play and injury questions.

Cruz signed his own lucrative contract last offseason, and the Giants aren't expected to spend their money on two receivers, especially for an offense that was atrocious last year.
