Whew, hiring process for my new job is such a hassle, all because UMD was super late in posting their degrees.
UMD didn't list me as having my graduate degree until last Friday. Neither me nor my employer knew this, so everyone was wasting time and effort to try and get my degree confirmed in the weeks prior. Caused a lot of headaches and anxiety because it made me wonder if I missed one of UMD's many unnecessary graduation forms/applications last semester and didn't technically graduate. Now I have to wait a few days for another $8 official transcript to get snail-mailed to my house.
Anyway, all of this is pushing back when I can get officially hired, my employee orientation, my ability to use the online components of the school's website (Blackboard), and my ability to just focus on designing my classes. And to top it all off, I just found out I received another class to teach, which is cool because I want more classes/$, but I've only got ~5 days to design the course. So all this hiring BS is really taking its toll. It's hard enough planning an entire semester one week before the semester starts without having to do all this BS with human resources and UMD's registration office.

That's a shame man. I had a similar experience with getting my loss reports from an insurance company before another company would insure me, I lost 2 weeks because of it. Your a smart guy and I'm sure you can come up with a course in a week, I have faith in you.
