Interesting Giants Super Bowl Facts:

- The Giants have won a Super Bowl on 4 different networks: 21 (CBS), 25 (ABC), 42 (Fox), 46 (NBC)

- Despite twice winning titles 4 years apart, the Giants had different starting WR's in '86 (Manuel and Robinson) and '90 (Ingram and Baker) AND in '07 (Plax and Toomer) and '11 (Nicks and Cruz). Although Toomer was a starter in '00.

- In 4 Super Bowl wins, the Giants have 1 turnover, Eli's dropped pass to Steve Smith in SB 42. In their one loss they had 5.

- The 1990 team beat every team they played. They went 13-3, split with Philly and avenged losses to the 49ers and Bills in the playoffs.

- In the 4 seasons they won the Super Bowl, the Giants combined record against current division opponents: Dallas (5-3), Philly (6-2), Washington (5-3).

- In the 4 Super Bowl winning seasons, the Giants have won more road games (6) than home games (4).

Also Each Super Bowl Win in additional to being on a different network, was in a different decade:

SBXXI (1980s)
SBXXV (1990s)
SBXLII (2000s)
SBXLVI (2010s)

and a different time zone:

SBXXI (Pacific)
SBXXV (Eastern)
SBXLII (Mountain)
SBXLVI (Central)

That's pretty cool.

So we're 30m under cap? I'm not familiar with how cap room works.

I remembered you explained it well last year, anty. But now pictures and numbers look different.

The Giants have a lot of work to do with their roster in 2014. How much money does general manager Jerry Reese have to work with?

A decent amount, even with 27 free agents to contemplate. According to my estimated calculations (granted all the salary cap rules are too much for my little brain to handle so this is simply one man's estimation), the Giants have $101,688,010 accounted for against the salary cap next season.

That's not including four restricted free agents (Jim Cordle, Mark Herzlich, Spencer Paysinger and Henry Hynoski) who are likely to be tendered contracts. It's not including offensive lineman Chris Snee either. Snee is almost certain to be released because of his unreasonable $11.75 million cap number.

So with the estimated 2014 NFL salary cap at $126.3 million, the Giants are left with almost $20 million to spend. (Note: The Giants could also free up millions more by signing quarterback Eli Manning and safety Antrel Rolle to new deals.)

Here's the money the Giants have accounted for in '14 so far, not including the inevitably voidable contracts of tight end Brandon Myers and cornerback Corey Webster:

1. Eli Manning $20.4 M
2. Antrel Rolle $9.25M
3. David Baas $8.225M
4. Victor Cruz $7.424M
5. Will Beatty $7.4 M
6. Mathias Kiwanuka $7.05M
7. Jason Pierre-Paul $3.561
8. Steve Weatherford $2.925M
9. Prince Amukamara $2,603,013
10. Cullen Jenkins $2.45M
11. Justin Pugh $1,896,795
12. David Wilson $1,823,046
13. Zak DeOssie $1,150,000
14. Johnathan Hankins $916,068
15. Rueben Randle $897,799
16. Jarrel Jernigan $813,813
17. James Brewer $758,023
18. John Conner $740,000
19. Daniel Fells $730,000

37. Charles James $495,000
38. Stephen Goodin $495,000

For the draft.. no real order:

Darqueze Dennard - CB ... just hope Detroit doesn't grab him before we pick
Justin Gilbert - CB
Anthony Barr - OLB ... probably won't be there when we pick
Khalil Mack - OLB
C.J. Mosley - OLB
Greg Robinson - OT
Zach Martin - OT

Maybe Jace Amaro or Eric Ebron both TE's. Not sure if we would pick a TE at 12 though. Even though we DESPERATELY need a TE, I'd rather us go a different direction.

What's story on Myers? Maybe McAdoo can work with him??

And your drafts, I like it and maybe DT in late pick? They're usually safe pick.

Myers is trash and a goner, his contract was set up to be voided, thank God.

We could possibly pick a DT at #12 Aaron Donald

Myers was pretty good with raiders, he just failed in Gilbride's offense.

He was terrible with the Raiders. He got garbage time stats in blowouts and in the 4th Q with little time left. He sucks. He can't get separation and he's slower than Hillis. Which is saying a lot because Hillis looks like he's running in slow-motion. Hillis was actually productive for us though despite his lack of speed.
