I watched half of it so far. Lots of moments where you're like "why did they do that when they could have done this?" because of something illogical, as is the case with many "scary" movies. Also parts that are just unrealistic like driving w/o seeing anything—basically a prolonged Jeep commercial. Also lots of cliche ham acting and dialogue to start out (that's typical for Sandra Bullock movies). The characters aren't likable for the most part.
So far there's no background information. I would like to know if this is an alien force, a supernatural force, or some kind of man-made disaster.
And obviously I would like to see what this entity looks like before the movie is over, though I was told you never get to see it. That's kind of cheap but I want it.
But I'm still interested in seeing how it concludes, so I'll watch the second half. It's not as bad as the many negative reviews I've heard make it out to be... at least, not yet.
