Just a reminder, Trump ran on promising to balance the budget, so far he's off to a bad start:

On January 20, 2017, when he [Obama] left, it was $19.947 trillion

National debt under trump now: $21.974 trillion (source: Treasury Dept.)

I'm not calling it fake news, I'm not a Trump fan either, but it's not like he's doing anything different than the rest of them did is my point. The way any US government, democrat or republican led, spends tax money is stupid, period. We give more in foreign aid to 3 countries than what this stupid wall costs and they could be using it on helping our homeless and veterans and infrastructure here that desperately need it. Every single budget has tons of wasteful spending and grants to help politicians and their lobbyist its pathetic to have a 5000 page bill full of bullshit.

thanks & amen, I can agree with all that there. You'd have to go back to bill clinton to find a president who actually tried to balance the budget.

Problem with that comparison is that it doesn't take into account the 2.7 trillion in hidden debt that was hidden by the previous administration

Also doesn't take into account Obama inheriting the great recession when he came into office. Trump did not inherit a recession, though like Bush, his presidency will probably end with one, as unsustainable tax cuts and uncontrolled spending invariably lead to them. Only question is how bad this next one will be.

yep, also this^

It always shocks me how long it takes for people to catch on... polls have shown a growing number of people are beginning to blame Donald for the shutdown, but it's absolutely insane that there was ever any doubt that he was to blame. He took personal responsibility loudly and proudly for the shutdown on numerous occasions, and still, only 50-53% (up from 45% a week ago) of polled Americans believe he's responsible. The guy could shoot someone on national TV and blame it on the gun and 40% of people polled would blame the Democrats for sabotaging the gun.

He has an unwavering base of about 30% (give or take) of American voters that will support him literally no matter what he & his adminisration do, Trump could F his male voters' wives and they'd still vote for him.

It's seems that most of the people I talk with are more so opposed to Democrats than actually in support of Donald Trump. Almost all of the people I've debated with or attempted to have a civil conversation with, have all fallen back on "Better than crooked Hillary." "At least he's not giving money to lazy drug addict pedophiles." or some other asinine anti-democrat rhetoric. I do wonder how fucking batshit crazy the right would be going if a Democrat pulled any of the shit Trump is pulling.

Wouldn't make any difference anyway. People stick to party lines and Trump's election is definitive proof of that. No informed and unbiased person would ever vote for that man.

Voted for Johnson Bc I refused to vote for Trump or Hillary ...

Knew Kansas would go red either way. Though these midterms showed Kansas isn’t as red as once thought...

In Missouri now, and I definitely won’t vote for Trump, depends who the Dems nominate whether I’ll vote for him/her. I am always sure to vote for my local government but I figure I’ll vote 3rd party unless one of the big 2 come up with a great candidate that I actually agree with. Which is unlikely.
