What other options are there?
Caldwells contract is done after this season so give Quinn a chance to work with Caldwell; if not then next year he bring his personnel in
But another season hopefully he gets his shit together, those were mistakes.

Yeah, I don't think we can expect a super bowl win in Quinn first year. I think Caldwell was the best decision. We need to have a good draft and then pursue a coach(if we need to) when there are plenty of candidates available. There wasn't a stud coach out there.

Dumping coaches after two years isn't good either. See Browns, Buccs, Jags. And trying to redefine a team after two years as well is not possible.
Give cooter scooter the whole offseason to game plan. Some new lineman, a young and hype secondary, a healthy Levy. I think this is looking good honestly.


The players want him to stay, and now with this whole scenario the pressure to win is on, Caldwell knows if he fails this season he's gone.

Who could we bring in for yet another coach ? The job pool for head coaches that would even consider coming to Detroit are the toilet bowl of choices, just like we had when we hired Caldwell because they stalled until he was the only one left. Just be glad they didn't hire Chip Fucking Kelly in my opinion. I heard chatter on the radio today about Mark Cuban being in touch with the Ford family about the future of the Lions. I would love for that guy to buy our team. Rumor has it he has been trying to buy an NFL team for a while.
