It's actually not as easy as you might think to lose a wheel. At least not if it started mostly tight and then came loose. It's more of a slow-occurring incident that takes place over ~20 miles or so. This actually isn't the first time it's happened either.

I don't think you necessarily have to be nice and wholesome though. Just maybe don't outwardly wish death and tragedy upon others and revel in their misfortune.
