I'll be real for a second and give some sincere advice: consider seeing a therapist. It sounds like you're going through a lot, and in my own unprofessional opinion, it seems like you're suffering from some kind of mental illness. A therapist can diagnose and help you work through whatever you're going through. I know there's this stigma about men needing therapy, but it's honestly all bullshit: there isn't a person alive who can't benefit from talking about whatever it is they're thinking. My mom went off a mental cliff after her brother died. Therapy helped her a lot. I've seen it work.

If you can't afford a therapist (due to insurance or whatever), then consider talking to someone, anyone, even a complete stranger (which carries its own benefits, yet also some obvious limitations). Maybe ( https://www.reddit.com/r/self/ ) or ( https://www.reddit.com/r/depression/ ). Merely writing out all your problems there can be therapeutic just on its own.

If you go around being negative all of the time and putting people down, then you're just going to get treated the same way per the Golden Rule: treat people the way you want to be treated.

I've seriously thought about it for years but can't really afford to. Besides my wife who already goes through enough, don't really have anyone like that. Not really close to my family anymore, I pretty much am either sleeping or at work to keep myself busy.

I'll be the first to say not trying to make excuses for the way I act, I know better than anyone here how much of an asshole I am. It's just how I cope or some shit, who knows. Would I like that to change? Absolutely. Will it happen? Probably not.

Cable I absolutely agree with you on, slowly trying to get her away from it and have actually gotten the bill down a bit.

Working isnt an option though, between her ankle/sciatic nerve/PCOS she's basically miserable every single day in pain, she's applied to social security and hoping to hear back from them soon.

Lifestyle changes can drastically help with all of those things. Gotta want to get better, sometimes thats the hardest part.

Sciatica sucks. I bulged my L5/S1 disc in the gym about a year ago, and it flares up a lot. What helps me the most is consistent stretching (#1), practicing good form/avoiding painful motions and positions, regular chiropractic adjustments, and CBDs. I haven’t taken any pain killers or anti inflammatory prescriptions and have been makin great progress. My general practitioner has actually told me she’s reconsidering her western medicine approach because of me. But then again, i’m young, active, and otherwise healthy. Movement really does help with sciatic nerve pain... The 2 months i took off from the gym (although necessary) were the most painful months of my recovery. Inflammation is the kicker. Look into CBDs.

Agreed 100%. Lifestyle changes are the only way to recover, otherwise you’re just treating symptoms in an endless cycle.

Ouch, that sounds rough man. The problem she has is she can't sit OR stand for too long otherwise she'll be in tears from the pain. Doesn't help she has bone spurs in her ankle from when she broke it as a teenager and even the doctors said it would be a lifelong thing. CBDs sound like a good option and we both smoke (Not her atm, waiting for SS in case they want a drug test). Appreciate it bro.

I agree. Also doesn't help that I seem to want to make everyone around me just as miserable as me. Even the wife I've taken it out on more times than I can count. I just need to start by cutting the bullshitting/trolling/whatever else, so we'll see where that goes. One day at a time

I know we've been at each others throats for the longest time, ready to say I'm over the childish shit though so I'm sorry to you and whoever else I've been cruel/shitty too (Everyone here basically)

Yes I know action speaks louder than words, so going to keep that in mind too.

In regards to CBDs... I prefer to vape my CBDs, because I can do it at work, school, grocery store, wherever. It’s discrete and convenient. I have a special cartridge 5:1 ratio (cbd:thc) which is my go-to because it doesn’t get me stoned. I suck on my pen first thing every morning, throughout the day as needed, and before bed. And honestly, it’s crazy. It’s almost instant relief. Now, it won’t cure anything, it’s just a more natural remedy than prescription NSAIDs or PKs. And at the end of the day, I go for my THC flowers or concentrates to relax after a long day, so I feel you.

In regards to the movement pain... I totally understand. It SUCKS. Worst pain ever, it’s persistent and overwhelming. But you need to have her take the PT approach. Not physical therapy, rather Push Through the pain. It sucks ass, but it works. At least for me, progress motivates me. When i couldn’t even touch my toes anymore, i would hold as far as i could for as long as i could. The next day, the same thing. After a few days and weeks, I was touching my toes again. Again, i’m lucky given my circumstances, but i can GUARANTEE you that staying still will never stimulate recovery past a certain point. Think of it as a spectrum; the more you push yourself, the more you’ll actually do better for yourself.

I only chimed in because i’m very familiar with this specific area. Good luck!

I hate how much value my old PC parts lost already.

CPU: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117561
Mobo: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128880
Cooler: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608040

Probably paid like $500 at minimum. Worth like $200 now.

Would almost rather spend another $300 and build a PC that I don't even need than have $200. Then I could at least gift it to someone.

Maybe I'll keep an eye on CL and r/hardwareswap

I disagree with the last paragraph.
