Why would you cap yourself at 120hz? Theres hundreds of 144hz 1ms monitors out there for much less even with gysnc. You dont have to buy into the brand name. 34 inches is just way to big for gaming, I guess thats opinion based, but I wouldnt go over 27. I prefer 24.
You can get a 240hz Gysnc monitor by alienware for HALF the price. Id much rather be using a 240hz 1ms vs the one you linked, and save $400
What games are you even playing? And dont get a 2080ti, get a 1080ti... the difference in output vs price is not worth it to go to the 2080ti
I mainly am going to play single-player RPGs, not competitive online multiplayer games (my hands lack the function to play them seriously). So like Deus Ex, FFXV, Tomb Raider, etc.
Pretty much 2k and gsync were my must-haves, and so I went from there. Sounded like the difference between 1ms and 4ms wasn't that significant, and the difference between 120 and 144hz was also only somewhat noticeable.
There's always a trade-off; I can't get exactly what I want as far as resolution, response time, refresh rate, gsync, etc.
Well I've got the rest of the day to reconsider my purchase, since, truth be told, I've been wondering if I want a panel that wide (wish there was a store nearby where I could actually look at them).
