Even if you're apathetic about voting, hopefully you can at least agree that every law-abiding citizen deserves the right to vote, have their vote count (like literally be tallied), and have their vote represented fairly. If you agree with this, then you have reason to vote, considering our democracy is being threatened by gerrymandering, voter suppression, and deliberate vulnerabilities in the security of the voting machines themselves. Vote against the politicians who use these tactics.

Idk I find it pretty easy to vote. Never understand the voter suppression angle... at least here, and I’m in a pretty red state.. they send you notices of our polling station weeks out, have lots of mail to remind you to vote and both political parties send me shit in the mail and advertise at roughly the same rate. I’m also registered independent though.

Voter suppression is on the rise since the SC neutered the voting rights act. It's becoming part of the Republican platform, gerrymandering to concentrate and divide blue regions into minority sections of a district, closing polling stations, tossing out ballots for flimsy reasons, purging voter registrations, requiring various forms of ID or permanent addresses. Basically everything Brian Kemp is doing in Georgia. These are all tactics meant to suppress demographics that traditionally vote blue.

Of course, certain states have it better than others. Nevertheless, those of us in other states with fairer voting systems need to elect politicians who will pass legislation to protect the voting rights of people who live in Georgia, Texas, etc.

Was going to say, none of that happens here. They need one form of identification, when you get your license you can register to vote, super easy to absentee vote or vote in advance for days before the election... not really much voter suppression happening here. I guess we are lucky that our reps aren’t trying that shady shit. But I also can only speak for myself.

You know what sucks? Being on the Fucking KC border you get bombarded by ads from both Missouri and Kansas. Half the ads literally don’t matter to me Bc I can only vote for one side. I get why they do it... but yesterday during the chiefs game... it was almost insufferable. I don’t think I got a commercial for anything but politics lmfao. Of course we’re talking about this election. I’ll be up all night tomorrow watching. I remember 2014... it wasn’t a big deal at all, this one is nuts. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Dems get the house and gop holds on/grows lead in the senate. That’s my guess though.

I'm excited for the Republicans to get even stronger this election and the left getting even angrier! Oh the riots will be beautiful!
