Liability reasons. But the big one is workman's comp. First thing that happens after an injury is a piss test. If you have something they can immediately fire you and not have to pay for anything. They can also get in trouble for you having shit in your system while on the job. It's why a lot of places will still test for and prohibit marijuana after it goes federally legal.

Yes I didn't think about insurance issues. Warehouse work makes a little more sense.

I know I'm biased here but I can't think of many things you'd really fuck up because you smoked a little weed. I mean unless you're a brand new smoker.

I mean sure and the same goes for having a couple of beers but once you bring any amount into it you're opening yourself to questions of tolerance and inebriation levels. So it's always going to be all or nothing, especially with something that can stay in your system as long as weed does.

Yea and thats my issue with it. I can't smoke in my free time? Because you don't want to come up with a better test? Especially when even meth only stays in your system for a handful of days at most for those tests.

I've had to fire a guy because he got hurt on Monday but had coke in his system. Swore it was from Saturday night. As much as I believed him and fought hard to try and keep him, it's unfortunately on the employee to prove that they're not impaired at work and that's not something you can really do once the test comes back as positive.
