I'll be going to Raiders @ Chiefs this weekend

I'll be rocking the C. Wood jersey in Arrowhead, cheering on my Raiders as they stomp the flukey chiefs.

My bro and his wife will be there too.

I hate to sound like xnozx, but 90% of that game comes down to the O-line.

Let me say one thing before I begin--I'm not making excuses for Pryor. He made some good plays, and he made some incredibly poor plays. Those ints are all at least partially on him--and the first one is entirely his fault.

That being said...the game really only fell apart when our focus lapsed.

Pryor was a part of this too, he had way too many delay penalties today. But the o-line had false starts and holdings all over the place. The penalties start to get to you--you play more cautiously, you're frustrated, you aren't mentally focused. Then things start slipping...defenders beat your coverage...lots of pressure gets to the QB. 10 sacks. Ten. That is simply not acceptable, even if you have backups in.

With that many sacks, the penalties, the game slowly slipping out of your hands...it's no wonder Pryor started to force things, started to make some bad reads. He's young--he doesn't have the mentality developed fully yet. These little things get to you, and he doesn't know how to handle it yet. Doesn't know what to do in a close game. We saw it week 1 vs Indy--we got down the field, then something stalled our drive (I think it was a hold?). Next play, pick and the game's over. Pryor threw a lot of shit passes, and that ball didn't come out of anyone's hand but his, so they're his fault. But part of the onus lies with the offensive line due to their shit-tier play.

And at the same time, the pressure is ALL on Pryor. He's the one we look to to make something happen...but we need another spark. McFadden was supposed to be that. For his entire career. But he's had what, 1 good season in 8? 2 good ones? He's been a flop. We need a new answer. And we have jack shit at WR (don't try to tell me Moore is good, he *might* be a 2nd string on some teams but he'd probably end up as a 3rd on most). So it really comes down to Pryor...and our fullback, who isn't going to be a big play threat. Reece is good, but he's a fullback.

Someone has to step up. We need a player somewhere on the team that is willing to take this game into their hands and make some plays when nobody else is making plays. Pryor does an admirable job of this, but our offense can't pick itself up when it's down...when we're on tempo we're great but once things start falling apart we need someone who can get shit done when nobody else is getting shit done. Pryor can be that player one day, but he is not that player today. QBs can't throw to themselves.
