Like usual, it's going to come down to which Bortles shows up. We're 10-0 this season when Bortles hasn't had a turnover.

Definitely think you guys can pull it together, if the calm collected bortles from yesterday shows up it's hard not to see a chance, who is guarding gronk?

That's going to be one of the main questions for this game. What do they do against Gronk? Gipson has covered TEs quite a bit this season. Sometimes it's Myles Jack covering the TE. I'd personally love to see Ramsey go one vs one with him. A lot of it will depend on how much Zone coverage we play.

I don't think they'll try and get too cute vs Gronk, but that's going to be one of the biggest questions all week.

Ya I was thinking I think you guys have a lot of confidence on both ends it would be smart to just play zone and knock him around at the line to bump him off rhythm. Jack has played amazing in the games I've watched and would be fun to watch.

Both Jack and Smith are crazy fast and athletic.

Jack didn't play much at all in his rookie season last year. He played like 5-20 total snaps a game last year. There were multiple games where he only played like 5 snaps, 8 snaps, 10 snaps. He was the SLB last year and we played in nickle like 60-70% of the time. He only came on the field on 1st downs and obvious running situations. Which was fucking stupid, but that's just the way the scheme is.

First thing they did in the off season was make Jack the MLB. He's way too athletic to not have him on the field every snap. Poz plays MLB in base front while Jack plays the SLB. Poz goes off the field when we switch into nickle and Jack moves over to MLB. Poz is still solid up in the box, but he's a liability in coverage. They way they're doing it now is perfect.

Jack has only kept getting better as the season has gone on. He's still got a lot to learn, but man the sky is the limit for him. He has the ability to be so good. And he only turned 22 in September.

edit: Playing a lot of zone coverage scares me vs Brady though. He eats up zone all day long.

Jack should cover Gronk


I think Gipson would have a really rough day

Plus Gipson hurt his foot yesterday. I think Gipson would have a hard time. Hell everybody is going to have a hard time regardless of who's covering him. Jack covering him would be fun to watch as well. I'd have to imagine they'll keep Gipson back there to double Gronk a bit though.

I will admit zone against Brady has always been a gift to him but you guys have all it takes to control the line of scrimmage which to me is really going to make or break a good defensive day. If Brady has time and control of the oline no matter how well in coverage you guys protect he will win, it's going to be won if Calais cambell wins
