Source says Dr Robert Watkins did not recommend surgery for Giants RB David Wilson. Obviously that's good news.

Quote
Great news for #Giants RB David Wilson, who saw a neck specialist today. Source says no surgery. Out about 3-4 weeks.

Quote
David Wilson still expected to be out a few weeks, but no surgery means his season isn't over just yet. And seemingly good long-term news.

Quote
@ConorTOrr: One interesting tidbit I heard: Wilson's injury might be similar to Kiwanuka's. Every case is different, but some similarities there. #nyg

Quote
@ConorTOrr: Kiwanuka, though, had serious pain. Wilson doesn't. Still, Wilson is not in the clear just yet. Herniated disc + RB + stenosis is never good

Not out of the clear yet though.......

David Wilson's second opinion confirmed what the Giants already knew: He has a herniated disc and spinal stenosis. ...

Quote
... and despite optimism that he will return after the Week 9 bye, I'm told no timetable has been set on when he can return. #NYG

Spinal stenosis is potentially season- and/or career-ending. It's too early to tell, but Giants don't believe Wilson's injury is either.

Of course

But I'm a realist, our secondary is one of the worst in a long time. Eli will pick us apart

Yup, which is why we aren't out of the clear yet. Just have to pray for good news. He's a good kid and has so much passion. He can have a nice career if he can move past this.

Then you should know we play AWFUL against the Vikings.

We also make horrible QB's look like Joe Montana.

With how horrific our defense has been I really don't expect a win.

Freeman could play like a god and I still see a 45-31 type loss.

Our defense has been that hideous. This is the giants game to get back on track

Our track is to get Clowney or whoever warrants that selection.

We simply have too many injuries and not enough talent to overcome this seasons woes.

Besides, us Lions fans would enjoy some company on the list of teams to never win a game in a season :(
