Ebenezer Samuel @ebenezersamuel
Beason's deal voids at end of the season, so if Giants are giving up only a late-rounder, deal's not a bad gamble.
Ralph Vacchiano @RVacchianoNYDN
Beason has a salary of $1 million this season. The 6 year/$51 million deal he signed in 2011 voids at the end of this season.
Low risk, possible high reward signing.
Beason is a much better MLB then a OLB but he's coming off microfracture surgery

Beason was a 3 time pro bowler, he moved outside and then came back and that was his worst season.
The season after that he was put on IR. The season after they had Kuechly and he took his spot, and rightfully so.
Blackburn replaced him the week they played us, I don't think that's a coincidence.
Here's a quote from a Panthers fan.

I believe 28. I believe he still has some issues with his knee, but he if come back to 80% of what he use to be yall would be happy to have him.

Jon Beason is a MLB, he lost out to Luke Kuechly. Beason is a not a good on the outside. Plus Thomas Davis starts at the other OLB position. Who is a far superior OLB then Beason and Blackburn, so in Nickel DEF, Davis and Luke will be playing.
I like it.... even if he's not near his former self right now, he's still 10000000000000000000% upgrade over Herzlich.
