Honestly guys, we're not too far, this is the best team we have had in a good while. Hopefully this upcoming season Bush manages to stay healthy and gives us another 1000+ yard season, he will be the difference maker. A good draft, Oline staying healthy, Ebron growing up and Suh staying, I don't see why we couldn't make a good playoff run.

Biggest obstacles is facing the NFC West and AFC West, some really strong teams. Also Fox will help the Bears big time so I expect them to also be a big challenge.

But ultimately that's what good teams have to do, beat other good teams.

/e would you guys worry if they were to cut Bush/Tulloch/Jason Jones? Just saw that at the bottom of that article. If you cut Bush I hope we can snag Gurley in the draft. Would love a beast mode type of runner, but who knows if he can recover from that ACL tear.

Wouldn't be worried about Bush cut at all.
Tulloch would be missed, but we did fine without him most of this year.
Would miss Jason Jones. But Suh is worth it.

don't care if bush gets cut...would like to keep majority of our defense though...we keep Suh fairley will more than likely be gone so we can try to keep Jones and tulloch..even though levy stood up tall...Whitehead did well also but having that depth will be huge, we need our defense as strong if not stronger as it was this past year

megatron released a statement that he's willing to do whatever it takes to keep suh in Detroit

I hate that Calvin is willing to help the team but it doesn't seem that suh is willing to work it out for the team...

We are already capable of a playoff run...imagine a good draft and Ebron flourishing and a healthy o line

Come on suh...have some heart

That's dope, last I'd heard the only way we could resign Suh was at the expense of Calvin.

I just remembered we cut Raiola and now Swanny boy is in, jesus that could end up badly but I believe in Swanson.

Who would you guys like to draft?
This is kind of what I'm feeling
-1st round we cut reggie, save some cap room then draft a new young player- Melvin Gordon, or Gurley, leaning more towards gordon because theres a question mark on Gurley with his ACL tear
-2nd oline, oline, Oline
-3rd OLine or a corner, maybe if efo from Oregon is still available

What do you guys think?

/e I really like Riddick though, not too sure of it's smart to go RB but we need to get some pressure off Stafford and actually have a good running threat

Haven't looked into it much yet but --

1st round: O-line, WR or RB
2nd round: O-line, RB (if RBs slip again), S or CB
3rd round: O-line, DL (depending on how many we resign), S or CB

I know I'm crazy but I have faith in Riddick and Bell. Riddick is sick in open space and has great hands and Bell is a good short yardage/goal line threat.

I do too. However, I think lions want "that guy". The one who can do it all. We'll see though.
I usually do my draft guesses on what I think will happen, not necessarily what I want. That being said, I usually agree with what the Lions do.
