Giants Sign Center Dallas Reynolds

Quote
The New York Giants’ banged up offensive line received some much-needed help today in the form of Dallas Reynolds, who signed with the team following a workout earlier at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

Reynolds, who can play guard and center, gives the Giants some veteran depth in the event Chris Snee (hip) and David Baas (neck) are unable to go any further this season.

Reynolds is 6-4 and 320 pounds. He first joined the Eagles as a rookie free agent on May 1, 2009 and was a member of the team’s practice squad for all but one game that season, as well as the entire 2010 and 2011 seasons. He was added to the Eagles’ 53-man roster in 2012, playing in 16 games.

Reynolds stepped in for center Jason Kelce after he suffered two torn knee ligaments in Week 2. Reynolds played his college ball at BYU.

To make room for Reynolds, the Giants waived running back Da’Rel Scott, who started this Sunday against the Chiefs. Scot, a seventh round draft pick in 2011, played in 11 games as a rookie and four games in 2012 before going on injured reserve with a knee injury.

With Scott no longer on the roster, the Giants will go with three running backs—starter David Wilson, veteran Brandon Jacobs, and rookie Michael Cox. Andre Brown, who is currently on temporary injured reserve, will be eligible to return to the playing field on Nov. 10.

The Giants also released OL Steven Baker from their practice squad and re-signed receiver Marcus Harris.

Time to start David Wilson this week??? Me thinks so. I got...Sproles, Lynch, Powell, and Wilson. Thinking bout benching Sproles, other than this past week he's been a 5-8 point guy with 0 td.

So I was asked this question via PM

How well do you think Eli will perform against Eagles in his current situation?

Basically, he's my back-up to my RGIII on bye week this week. I don't know if I should drop Eli or give him a chance.

Should have one of his best games of the season. He usually plays well vs Philly. Will have to score high in the 20's to match Philly's offense.

There's no escaping our O-line though. It's performing like the worst unit in the NFL by far. We have countless injuries and not much talent behind them.

Gilbride has been being questioned by the fans and media for weeks now, each week more and more.

This week we may FINALLY see a different game plan involving a more short passing game, we may FINALLY utilize the no huddle outside of the 2 minute offense and incorporating David Wilson more in the passing game.

JPP Has Sprained MCL in Knee; Likely to Play Through Injury

He hasn't been healthy all season.... just rest him until he is 100% either for the rest of this season or next.

Victor Cruz On The Brink Of Breaking Jerry Rice's Record

Bob Glauber ‏@BobGlauber

Stat to note: Jerry Rice leads the NFL with nine 70+ yard receiving TDs since 1970 merger. Giants' 4th-year WR Victor Cruz already has seven

Now if only we could utilize Cruz properly he'd have even better numbers. All these deep routes take away from what Cruz excels at....

Not hating that stat though B)
