If Green Bay has nothing to gain by starting him, then it makes sense from their perspective to not risk further injury to their franchise QB. Keep him on your bench for now, but figure out what your Plan B will be if he doesn't return.
Better off letting Rodgers sit the season and get Flynn more play time.
Rodgers is signed for the next 6 seasons. There's no reason to worry about what happens if he doesn't come back, but I'll give you a hint for when that time comes - his replacement is not currently on the roster.

There's a difference between going and being happy with the decision to sit a healthy Rodgers. I'd be pissed if they sat him and I had tickets, but I think it's the right move at this point.
