He turned Riley Cooper into a legitimate threat who had himself a damn good season with 800+ yards and 8 TD's

I mean if Riley Cooper had that kind of season, imagine what Maclin would have done if he was healthy LOL. Maclin runs circles around Cooper.

Eagles mediocre red zone offense (13th in the league) will be improved. Adding size at the WR position, that'll be another plus to this. So you gotta look at the flip side of things not just what we lose but what we gain. Things will be okay lol, just have patience.

IN CHIP WE TRUST

How much more committed to the run are we going to have to be? Mccoy isnt going to have anywhere near the same year as last if teams stack the box on him. Maclin and cooper are great but they wont be drawing the same amount of attention that jackson does down the field.

Like I've been saying for years now

Maclin > D.Jax

I will miss Jackson a ton, he's got speed and quickness that can change a game and is a huge weapon. But i said it before (well before this of course) and I'll say it now that I'll take Maclin any day of the week. He has not just excellent speed, but he's a precise route runner very smooth, and he has the size and strength to take advantage of a secondary not just with his speed but to actually outplay a defender for the ball.

We're essentially replacing D.Jax with Maclin, since Maclin didn't play at all last season with his injury.

Maclin is what you'd call an actual #1 type WR. Size, speed, strength, ball skills, route running, hands...

In Chip's offense, with a real QB (finally), he's going to have a career year like D.Jax did last season. Kelly has been high on Maclin since day 1, he knows what he's capable of and that's big production.

I understand Maclin hasn't played in a while, and people forget how good he is, but god damn so many people are acting like we just lost our #1 who we can't replace, etc. When just a year and a half ago if you asked who our most talented WR was most would of said Maclin.

People will see once the season gets going, I'm not worried I mean yeah I've been high on Maclin since he was drafted but I feel rightfully so. Just wait and see....he's gonna ball out now under Chip as the featured WR.

Chip Kelly knows what's good

Quote
Kelly focuses on man-to-man coverage when evaluating wide receivers. He said a player's ability to get open in one-on-one situations is the first question his coaches ask when evaluating a wide receiver, because Kelly thinks the Eagles see more man coverage than any other team in the NFL.

Kelly said teams play more man-to-man because of the Eagles' tempo. Defenders can line up quickly if they know they have a single assignment. From that point, Kelly said it's just about who wins the matchup.

Maclin is "one of those guys that, if we're going to see a lot of man coverage, I think can do a really, really good job because he's such a precise route runner, has outstanding speed, is good after the catch," Kelly said.

cant wait to go 3-13 next season

When Foles Looks like Shit early on, and he will, teams are going to stack the box...

and i promise you that riley cooper is not seperating from anyone, and Maclin barely catches 50% of whats thrown at him..

if evan mathis ends up getting traded/cut, ill lose my shit.

this system is all about spreading the field, and nobody does that better than DJax,  just the threat alone is what takes this offense to another level. with him gone, i dont see how we can get anywhere near the 30 points a game we were getting last year

he was convinced he was staying too, so they straight up lied to his face .

How in the fuck does percy harvin Fetch a 1st rounder and you can get anything for a top 3 deep threat in the game....

hard enough being an eagles fan when they arent doing retarded shit like this..

I have to agree with DM, I think this guy is a fake Eagles fan. I swear I've seen him claim he liked the Browns before?

As for the draft- No way should we trade up for a fucking wideout.. we still have 2 exceptional ones, and don't forget, I bet Damaris Johnson can play the slot in Kelly's offense.. We will see though.

This draft is so deep, we can take a wr in the 2nd with 1st round potential still, or in the 3rd with 2nd round potential. I'd rather draft a good defensive player first, and then fill in the need at WR in the next few rounds.

I HIGHLY doubt Evan Mathis gets traded... No one will pay a aging guard more than we are I doubt... (I hope)

Plus, I believe he's the oldest starting guard in the NFL.

Even though he's an All-Pro and one of the best in the business, dat age is still scary for teams. I believe he's what, 33?

There is a lot of rumor going on with the Eagles possibly trading up for Evans.
