Tampa is getting embarrassed by the Saints today. Wow

Second week in a row a shitty defense has come to play against this team. Every play they have pressure on Freeman and their defense made two good interceptions in their own zone.

The rest of the league is lucky the Saints started so shitty because they are a good team and would be dangerous in the playoffs were they to get in.

I knew they defense would be gashed but I didn't think the Saints defense would contain Freeman and co. this well.

because Freeman isn't as good as the media hyped.

and as Bucs fan claimed

he's mediocre.

You watching the game? They are allowing pressure on every down and the Saints defense is even containing Martin.

Freeman has made some good throws to Williams even though he overthrew him on that route that would have been a touchdown.

Freeman wasn't pressured as much last week then he is so far this week.

He has enough time to make the plays, but he is just so inaccurate.

Hopefully we rid of Freeman this offseason. Id take a backup over Freeman right now

This game is just so ugly to watch.

The pass D is still on vacation and the O is taking another week off.

While I hope we come back (which we normally do) in the 2nd half, I sure hope to hell Orlovsky gets the nod to start the 3rd.

I'm sick of the constant 3 and outs

Even tho the season isn't officially over. I'm going to go ahead and post up what I believe needs to happen in the offseason:

1 - Find some CB help. Using undrafted and 7th round rookies doesn't work. Our secondary was pitiful all season. The D stepped it up when it came to the RUN but thats it. We bit
on playaction to much.

2 - Find a new dcord. Sherridan is a fucking moron. He blitzes when it's not needed, and puts our CBs (who are woeful) on an island.

3 - Find a compliment back for Doug Martin. He can't do it himself. Blount apparently wasn't the answer, then again he was never given a chance.

4 - Find a true center. Larsen and Zuttah did great as center but we need a true center. A Pouncey type center.

5 - Lock up Bob Bostad. With the injuries we had, he made a medicore / dreadful line (Penn/Larsen/Hardmen/Dotson/Zuttah) into a semi respectable one. Gave Freeman time, opened up running lanes for Dougie.
Just imagine how this team would look like if Nicks and Joesph were playing. We draft a center or find a center in FA we might have a top 10 line next season.

6 - Get rid of Freeman (draft another QB) / or sign a quality back up QB for Freeman to compete with next season. Freeman had some okay games, but those "okay" games need to great games down the stretch. You can't play as bad as Freeman and hope for a contract extention.
While I hope Freeman lights it up the next 2 games, I really hope he takes all offseason to evaluate his play, and that Tampas FO decides to as well. Because I honestly believe he thinks this is his team and he can't be replaced. Sorry Josh, you can....

Good post but I still disagree on Freeman. Competition would be nice but I would hate to see them use a high draft pick on a QB when they have so many holes on defense.

He's by a wide margin their best option at QB at present.

noticed something interesting about bthe bucs secondary, the worst in the league, compared to the best, the steelers. the bucs secondary, has twice as many picks. it would seem the bucs commit too much to anticipation, instead of being disciplined. the steelers defense does not give up big plays. they stay put, and play the play, instead of playing the play still in the pocket
you can put it on the incredibly inexperienced secondary, suspensions and all kinds of bs. i would put it more on play calling. playing too aggressive when you need to be conservative. and ya gotta pressure the qb. sometimes, pressure and hurried plays are better than sacks.
