They want a legit back up for multiple reasons. In case Gabbert gets hurt. To put a little pressure on him, knowing there's somebody who could take his job. Although he'll have to play worse then he did last year for that to happen. Somebody with some experience. The only other QB we had was Dan LeFevour...
