Trade for Ben Tate before the Browns sign him as a free agent in the off-season.

I could see Ben Tate helping the Giants reach another Super Bowl. If he goes to a bad team like the Browns, not sure he would do well.

that sounds intriguing.

Dude is a beast. Came back from his injury with the jets 100%

Got a good player here. Was hoping they would keep him over Charles.

It actually really upsets me we cut him

Eh..He absolutely crushes people but he's not as versatile as some fullbacks. He was a bad fit in Cinci. Was perfect in New York, don't ask me why they let him go, think injuries played a huge part. Hopefully he's 100% and can open some holes for Wilson and Co.

As for the Tate thing, there is no need to make a move for another RB. Wilson is as explosive as they get, Jacobs can get the job done given space, and Scott is stepping his game up(granted he plays shit minutes) but he's been thrown into the fire a couple times and produced enough to gain some trust.

What needs to be done with the Giants is this..they need to stop babying Wilson. Feed the guy the ball, who cares if he fumbles, just stop making him feel like shit. Let him play his game. Don't bench Randle because you think he's the reason for a few ints. He's not the reason. Eli is the reason.

And most importantly, Eli needs to take control. He needs to sit down with Coughlin and Killdrive and tell them that they are the issue right now. The playcalling is terrible. Simplify the offense and find some rhythm.

Feel bad for Hynoski.... our players can never stay healthy... and once they come back from injury they get injured again and are out for extensive periods of time once again.

Here's a nice post someone made about our LB corps...

My 2 cents on the linebackers

Quote
You cannot play good defense in the NFL without professional linebackers. Don't tell me Dan Connor got hurt. Why do you think Dallas let him go? Lets comment on all.

Mark Herzlich: Great story, great kid but if the Giants cut him tomorrow, he would NOT be picked up by anyone. Hard to imagine missing Chase Blackburn, but this is a down grade

Spencer Paysinger: What's his job on the blitz, run into an offensive lineman that outweighs him by 50 lbs? Never gets home. Against the run, he gets caught up in the wash most of the time. On pass defense, he has no idea how to play zone. Yesterday on one play he literally ran away from the receiver to go to an area that nobody was in

Keith Rivers: Teams don't give up on #1 picks unless there's a reason. We see the reason. He gets run over on running plays and occasionally defends the pass. Also non-existant on the blitz. A downgrade from Mike Boley and you see where Boley is now

Jaquan Williams: The great speed demon. Gets obliterated on running plays, never holds up his side to force sweeps back to the inside. He just gets wiped out. Decent against the pass, but was better 2 years ago. Another blitzer who never gets home.

Shame on you Jerry Reece for not emphasizing this position it the draft and making it a priority. That doesn't necessarily mean a first rounder, but you cant wait until the 5th, 6th round to try and steal someone. Look at all the young, solid linebackers in the league. We start guys that were cut, free agents, and a 6th rounder. Please

100% true. I told you man..Herzlich is terrible.

I don't understand how THIS franchise can have such shitty linebackers. Look at our previous backers. LT on his worst days was the greatest player in NFL history. Banks, Reasons, Carson, and to the more recent, Barrow, Armstead, Pierce. Now we have guys that couldn't have played on my high school team rofl...

Lost in the disaster of an 0-3 start:

D. Bryant: 4 rec. 22 yds long: 7 yards(8 targets)
D. Thomas: 5 rec. 52 yds long: 18 yds (6 targets)
S. Smith: 3 rec. 40 yds long: 15 yds (7 targets)

18 solo tackles (leads team), 2 assisted, 1 forced fum. (T-1st) 3 passes defensed.

Negative Plays:
I believe he was in on the 36 yard reception Andre Caldwell had during the Broncos game. It was his only target and catch of the game. If there were others I missed, feel free, but this is the only one I'm definite about.
