I personally think Lee is getting shown up by our young talent.
Not entirely sure he will be a jag next year

Not unless he wants to take a huge pay cut, which I highly doubt will happen. It'll be his first FA contract. Him, like most everybody is going to want to try and get as much as they can on that first contract, because the 2nd one is never guaranteed.

If we had to choose, I'd much rather them focus that money towards Colvin, but he'll probably want to get paid nicely as well.

I just don't think it'd be smart to tie up that kind of money in 3 WRs (Robinson/Hurns/Lee), when these 3 young guys are showing so much potential. Plus 2 of them were UDFAs and the other was a 4th round pick. They don't take up much cap space at all.

Lee will probably get a contract around what Hurns got. Around $10m a year likely imo.

But you never know. Maybe that we're finally winning Lee and Colvin will take the team friendly deals and stay on with the team. They have did nothing but lose during their time in the NFL, up until this year.

It wouldn't upset me if Lee wasn't here next season, I don't think he will be. I'd really like to keep Colvin though. Our Secondary is ridiculous and I'd really rather not break that up. But it is a money game at the end of the day and we have to start looking forward. One of the problems with building through the draft and hitting on so many picks, you can't keep them all.

I’m hoping hurns is cut in the off-season it’s too much money for someone that’s easily replaced

??

Hurns might be the toughest WR we have. He makes the tough catches across the middle.

Lee leads the league in drops and has had drop issues since college. He was part of the reason why we lost vs the Jets. I can honestly see Lee costing us a game in the playoffs due to drops.

I’m still not a big fan at that price

He'll make $9m this coming year. He's been more productive than Lee, as well as probably most of the other FA WRs this coming off season, yet it's highly likely he'll still be making less than they all get on the open market this off season.

We can't go into next season with Robinson coming off an ACL injury (he might never be the same) and 3 young WRs. For all we know these 3 are nothing but a flash in the pan. You remember Mike Thomas don't you?

I’m fine with signing Allen Robinson to a 1 year deal and using Westbrook and cole

Front office seems to know what they’re doing so I’ll trust the process

Why would Robinson sign a 1 year deal here (or anywhere) though honestly? He's a top 10 WR in the league. Nobody is giving him a 1 year deal, coming off injury, unless it was for peanuts. That'd be a slap in his face if we only offered him a 1 year deal imo. It's either franchise tag, or long term.

The franchise tag will give him that 1 year to "prove it", as well as telling him we're serious about keeping him and giving him a nice little pay day.

For somebody who has consistently hated Bortles, I don't understand why you want to take even more of his weapons away from him bro.

Because Allen Robinson had a down year followed by a significant injury I assume he will want to build his value up

We are going to need cap space eventually if we are to sign Bortles or another big QB and I just don’t think hurns is useful enough at that cost
